Thea of Woolacombe House and Ava of Putsborough House lit up the weekend—literally and figuratively—as they raised an impressive £408.40 for the Braunton Academy PE department.

As dedicated Sports Captains, Thea and Ava took the initiative to organise a fundraising stall at the Braunton fireworks event. Their stall featured a vibrant selection of GLOW items, which proved to be a hit with attendees of all ages. Thea showed great leadership by reaching out to the event organisers ahead of time to request permission for the stall, and the response was overwhelmingly positive and supportive.

Throughout the evening, the girls worked tirelessly to engage the crowd, promote their cause, and manage both cash and QR code donations. Their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting their school’s PE department did not go unnoticed.

Thanks to their efforts—and the generosity of the local community—they raised a fantastic total of £408.40. This contribution will go a long way in enhancing resources and opportunities for students in the PE department.

Well done, Thea and Ava, for your initiative, teamwork, and community spirit. You’ve made your houses and your school proud!
