Reverse Poetry Competition
09 Oct 25
In honour of National Poetry Day this month (2nd October), the English Department have launched a Reverse Poetry Competition.
The theme of National Poetry Day was Play and so we’d like you to experiment with reverse poems - a reverse poem is a poem that can be read from top to bottom for one meaning and then read from bottom to top for another.
Your challenge is to write a reverse poem, the more elaborate the better, illustrate it and to hand it in to Miss Reed in Rm 66 for a chance of winning prizes!
See the stanza structure below if you’re not sure where to start!
