James Blofeld.png

I have been teaching Drum Kit in the North Devon area since 2005. After gaining a Grade 8 distinction through Trinity College London I received tutelage at the Drumtech Drums and Percussion School in Acton. I hold a Level 4 Certificate for Music Educators through Trinity College.

Because I work through IMS (Instrumental Music Services) it gives me access to regular social gatherings with other instrumental teachers and training sessions.

I have gigged in the UK and France, playing many different styles of music. I have performed at corporate events, weddings and festivals including the Glastonbury Festival.

Lessons are suited to all levels and abilities and I have many years experience preparing students for graded exams if this is something you would like to do.

Tim Parker.png

Email: parker151@btinternet.com

Mobile: 07792719848

I have taught music around schools in North Devon for over 25 years, during which time I have run music clubs as well as other school music activities. The clubs are not a substitute for lessons but for those pupils who have individual music lessons in school as well as those pupils who take an interest in music.

I have implemented a bronze, silver and gold badge award for pupils who come to lessons on time, bring their practice list, book and demonstrate a small focus to encourage them to practice and move forward.

I have had great success with the examination boards from rock, pop, classical etc over the years. I also award my own certificates at each level for those pupils who do not want to take exams and would like to learn for recreational purposes.

I am very passionate about music and teach a wide variety of styles, rock and pop being more popular these days, and I am classically trained to grade 8.

I am a qualified teacher after studying with Plymouth University for 3 years for my teacher’s qualification/ degree before I started teaching music in schools around North Devon as well as a professional musician playing in venues up and down the country for 20 years.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information.
