The sun was shining down on us for Plastic Free North Devon's annual Day of Action, where lots of amazing individuals, schools (including Braunton Academy), organisations, councils, and businesses got stuck into our community cleans across North Devon.
The Eco Club here at the Academy got involved and removed around 30kg of rubbish from the roads and pathways of Braunton.
Thank you so much to everyone involved for being part of the day. It was a fun and sunny day giving something back to the amazing place we live.
Highlights of the Day:
17 cleans
673 volunteers
108 bags of waste collected
28 businesses, organisations, schools, and groups participated
540 kg of waste removed
30kg of rubbish collected by Braunton Academy
If you like the look of this and want to get involved, there are plenty of scheduled cleans across the year at Saunton, Instow, Croyde, and Woolacombe. Check Plastic Free North Devon's website for dates and details.
Plastic Free North Devon's next mass clean-up is on 26th September for World Clean Up Day.
Thank you to Beth and Andy, from Plastic Free North Devon, and Clive for their help.
