23 Sept 2024
On the week of 23rd September, all students in years 7 to 10 had the privilege of meeting a children's author.
Year 7s met Costa Book Award winner, Natasha Farrant, who explained the process of writing her latest novel 'The Secret of Gold Island'.
Joseph Elliott wowed year 9s with his 'Shadowe Skye Trilogy' and the fact that most of the students recognised him from his acting days in CBeebies 'Swashbuckle!'
Lisa Williamson returned to present her fantastic novel 'The Art of Being Normal' to year 8 and last but not least, Luke Palmer shared his 'Young Adult Novels, Play and Game' with year 10.
We are incredibly grateful to our visiting authors for their generosity and willingness to share their time and expertise with us. Their contributions have made a significant impact on our school community, and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future.
Thank you once again for making a difference in the lives of our students.
