School leavers enjoy prom
After the stresses and strains of an extended exam season, year 11 leavers were able to relax and enjoy themselves at the annual Prom. Deputy Head, Mr Horton, was in charge of proceedings, and had arranged a fun-filled evening including a three-course meal, disco and photo booth. As is traditional, Mr Brock took to the decks during the evening, playing a set of quality drum and bass. The pupils arrived at the Barnstaple Hotel in various modes of transport including VW campers, a motor rickshaw and a vintage Ford Capri. Both boys and girls were looking their glamorous and sophisticated best, as their arrival was witnessed by dozens of family and friends. After dinner, it is reported that they danced the evening away and the dancefloor was still heaving when proceedings came to an end at 11pm. Pictured are early arrivals Phoebe Hutchings, Sophie Wilkinson, Mr Horton, Scarlett Rolls and Charlotte Gregory.
